S.K.Velayutham Women’s College  has its own campus at S.K.S Nagar, Kurinjipadi to Kuruvappanpettai road, 5 minutes walkable distance from Kurinjipadi  bus stand. The College Campus Spread in an area of 5.10 acres. Its sylvan location is quiet, peaceful and ideal for academic purposes. The college is housed in a magnificent building raised in the year 2012 at a cost of  Rs.Two crore.

Upliftment of the socially backward classes has been the vision of our family. My father, Mr.S.K.Velayutham  , was  a great philanthropist. He led a humble life. The great  C.N.Annadurai founder of DMK and mentor of thiru M.G.R, visited our school in 1956, an year after my father  passed away. He described my father as  “ cau;e;j vz;zk; gilj;j kiwe;j ts;sy;” and graced the institution by signing the  school log book, along  with  Thiru  N.V.Natarajan and Thiru K.A.Mathialagan ( Founder of DMK). Great personalities like KALKI, Suddananda  Bharathiar  ,Thiru C.Subramanian( Former Governor of Maharashtra) are among the few who blessed this institution by visiting.

I would like to quote from ‘The Road Not Taken’ by Robert Frost, the great American poet who had inspired our late Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as my message to the young women will be stepping into the portals of the newly build college.

Proposed English Language Lab

         The mission of the English Language Laboratory is to provide technological support to students and faculty in English and to provide a venue to hear and speak the target language. It acts as a platform for learning, practicing and producing language skills through interactive lessons and communicative mode of teaching. It offers students with the technical tools to get the best samples of pronunciation of the language. The laboratory's collection is intended to help out learners in the acquisition and maintenance of aural comprehension, oral and written proficiency, and cultural awareness. The language laboratory offers broadcasting, recorded programmes and web-assisted materials in the target language. In short, a learner can get the experience of having interaction with native speakers through the laboratory.

SKVWC is planning to develop a sound library facility. The text book section of the library will be quite rich to serve the demand of the ever increasing number of students.
